The black line on the horizon are oil tankers waiting to get filled. They are there night and day. About 2 miles offshore from Fujairah in the UAE. Sea of Oman.

Unseen Dubai
I do not think you will see this on any brochure for Dubai. Reality is very different for locals. It is not all shopping and golf.
