Sky Watch Friday

I took my dog down to the beach for a walk. The sky was blue with puffy clouds and a slight breeze. The water was wonderful colors of teal and blue. Then I came upon a giant sand monster and had to take its picture. Have a great Sky Watch Friday. Don't forget to visit all the sky photos from around the world, just click here.

Sky Watch Friday

Welcome to Sky Watch Friday, the best place on the web to see the sky around the world. Have a look for yourself just click here.

The sky, we look to it for comfort in times of need. In hopes a greater sum will present itself for our salvation. We look up for inspiration and consolation
Rainbows full of color, hope and beauty.
Blue sky that never ends. White clouds you make your friends.
When the sky turns dark and threatening we fear that which we have no control.
Rain comes and quenches the earth bringing with it floods of life and death.
Light so bright it will blind and sound so loud the world will tremble.
A vastness of space that knows no time. Void of our life yet our life it gives.
The sky, we look up to it in wonder. Touch it, we never will, yet surrounds us always.
The sun and stars are forever our companions. Know them we will not.
The sky, forever in its debt, forever in wonderment.

Fishing Boats In Sri Lanka

Sorry I do not have much to post. I am still sick and have not really left the house for eight days. This is the worst sickness I have had since I was a little kid, and that was a long time ago. Lucky me I have a huge inventory of images just waiting to be seen.
Cheers

B/W Odds and Ends

The first image was taken in San Francisco, China Town of course.
The second image was a beach in Oregon.
The third and fourth images are of a bridge that no longer exsits here in Fiji, near to my old home. Washed out completely this year during a rain storm. Interesting side not on the bridge, where ever there is a bridge there is aswimming hole below it. On any given sunny day there will be multitudes of kids swimming and playing. This day happened to be a bit cloudy and it was in winter.

Sky Watch Friday

Welcome to Sky Watch Friday. It has been a bit of a rough week. Being sick in the tropics is hell. Luckily I got up early one morning and looked out to the swimming pool and saw this reflection. I grabbed my point and shoot and got a couple of shots off. The first being the reflection and the second being the reflected.
Stop by the Sky Watch Friday site and see photos of the sky from all over the world.
Cheers

Fower Study

A little bit about these flowers. The Fijian name is Vutu, I do not know the English or Latin names. I used a black back drop with LED and incandescent light. My camera was tripod mounted with 8-20 second exposures at F22.
