Welcome to Sky Watch Friday. It has been a bit of a rough week. Being sick in the tropics is hell. Luckily I got up early one morning and looked out to the swimming pool and saw this reflection. I grabbed my point and shoot and got a couple of shots off. The first being the reflection and the second being the reflected.
Stop by the Sky Watch Friday site and see photos of the sky from all over the world.
Cheers

I hope you are feeling better.
Marvelous pair of photos here. Love the reflection.
The reflected is beautiful. I LOVE the color of the reflection. Hope you feel better. Being sick anywhere is hell, actually. But maybe it's worse in the tropics with the heat and humidity.
Beautiful pictures, as always!!
Get better real soon.
Take care
FW: My what great shots of the Sky in the pool and above, very nicely done.
The reflection is beautiful.
Both reflection and reflectee (ha! I made up a new word!) are gorgeous.

I hope you feel better. These images must work as a medicine - beautiful photos!
Palms always seem so exotic to me. I just love them silhouted against the sky.
Happy Sky Watch!

Thanks for your kind comments on my pot earlier.
Just superb. The silhouette is so striking. I hope you are fighting fit again soon.
The reflection shot is really interesting. Hope you are feel ing better now.
Man, that reflection is absolutely amazing. Did it make you feel any better? It made me feel better, if that counts for anything. Feel well soon!
Beautiful photos, I love the gentle, muted reflection, usually the reflection is stronger and brighter than the subject but you have caught its gentle feminine nature. The real thing in comparison is like a football hero against a shy victorian damsel.
I hope it is nothing serious and you recover quickly.
Hope seeing all the SWF pics makes yu feel a little less blue.
Cool shots, I hope you are felling better.
What a beautiful sky, and a fabulous reflection! Hope you are feeling better soon. Happy SWF. :)

And both shots are lovely! Hope you are well now.
Hey...finally have a decent connection so I can visit some blogs...Those flower photos below are incredible!! Wow...I thought they were fireworks at first...unreal!!
To answer your question about my post processing...I really try to do as little as possible. I always start out in camera raw making small adjustments or in lightroom as they have the same adjustments available. I then move into Photoshop and make a curves adjustment, and then mask out the areas that don't need touch-up. Then, if needed, I do a bit of dodging and burning and a slight boost in colors...then I do my final sharpening before saving for the web. All work depends on the photo. All said and done, I spend about 5 minutes per photo...it is usually the very small changes that make a big difference. In my tree photo, the sharpening is what made the difference in the photo, but for others, it just depends...
Good luck, and feel free to ask me more if you like....I am happy to help...I am a photography teacher so it is what I do...
Cheers,
Scotty
